Post college graduation, Lisa worked for several large advertising firms and three of the major east coast publishing houses: Arbor House, William Morris Company and Harper & Row, in New York City.  Lisa’s career took off because of her talent and passion for art, photography, and film.  By the early 1990s, Lisa opted to advance her career and move to Los Angeles, California.

Once in Los Angeles little did Lisa, know that she would be making a living watching cartoons while running an Animation Art Gallery!  So impressed with animation again and, all that went into its creation of a cartoon, Lisa decided to write a book on animation art and the gentle giants who brought them to life.  While doing the interviews for the book, Lisa came up with another idea.   She would find all of the surviving animators from the 1920’s to present and organize not only the creation of their handprints in large color cement squares but also  http://www.binkysart.com “The Pioneers of Animation Commemorative Dinner” in 1994.   She spent many hours with these artists that never grew up, learning about character development, storyboards, timing, and where to put a gag.  Prior to that, she had written children’s books, short stories, television scripts, and created children’s calendar.

Living in Hollywood, it only made sense that Lisa would try her hand at writing for the silver screen.  As a screenwriter, she is drawn to evoke emotional material while incorporating spiritual and fantastic elements. As the lives of her characters develop, they are initially known only to each other; however, they some how revealed themselves in such a way as to intertwine with the reader’s own characteristics.  They have fears and convictions that you and I can understand or, at the very least, respect. There is always constant conflict and tension building.  Relationships between friends and co-workers are cut with an edge that wonderfully creates the illusion that you, the reader, are experiencing the event right along with them.

Lisa Speroni is an artist, whose innovative style has been displayed in the distinguished Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, in New York City, several galleries in Southern California, and across the country.  Her work has been featured in art shows, magazines, and trendy LA restaurants in California.  Lisa has also had membership in The Type Directors Club, NYC, The Art Directors Club, NYC, and worked on the 66th Annual Awards Directory.   In California she received a Certificate of Commendation from the City of Long Beach California Economic Development Corporation and presented at one of their Seminars on ”How to Operate a Restaurant Successfully”.   Her constructive comments in this industry were noted in the "Long Beach Business Journal" and the Santa Monica "Outlook".  Lisa's talents have been applied in other art forms including but not limited to: graphic design, creative director of advertising, research/marketing, and new product development.  She is currently in production with a new product that will revolutionize the pet industry.   International Registries, Inc. Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice;
it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

Lisa Speroni, B.F.A., as an accomplished artist, photographer, and writer, possesses the ability to see people, reality, and circumstances in beautiful, unique, and sometimes unusual ways.  Her unique vision, ideas, and perspective are always evident in her paintings, photographs, and written words.  Ironically, though, Ms. Speroni entered this world and grew up in the usual and customary ways.

Lisa, a native New Yorker, spent many of her childhood, 1960’s mornings immersed in the magical world of cartoons and her afternoons were filled with black and white movies written by such masters as Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Sterling.  During the early 1970s, Lisa relocated from New York to Miami Beach, Florida, with her family.  That move led her to develop new comparisons and wider perspectives involving cultures and what happens inside different population densities.  The changes in location and atmosphere proved perfect for Lisa, helping her to achieve both socially and scholastically.  In 1978, Lisa attended the South Florida Art Institute on a full-scholarship.  Her formal education and professional training began that same year.  Later, Lisa returned to her birth city and roots, in order to continue to training in the arts, at the School of Visual Arts, located in New York City.  It was there, at the School of Visual Arts, that Lisa earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree.  She often tells those who inquire, about how some of her college classes that she thought she would dread, particularly psychology and art history, actually wound up fascinating her.  Those types of classes, ironically, inspired her to study the theories of art and film, as well as the psychological effects both art and film have on the viewer.
